SCOTT WEILAND Wants To Have New VELVET REVOLVER Out By Christmas
February 16, 2005Launch Radio Networks reports: Although VELVET REVOLVER will be on the road until the end of this summer, lead vocalist Scott Weiland has a very definite timetable for when he'd like the band to record its second album. "We're going into pre-production this spring, and our goal and our aim is to have a record out by Christmastime," he said. "We've reached every goal that we've set so far, so I really don't see a reason why we wouldn't hit that goal."
Weiland added that the group has been writing new material while on the road.
VELVET REVOLVER won a Best Hard Rock Performance Grammy on Sunday (Feb. 13) for their song "Slither" off the band's platinum 2004 debut, "Contraband".
VELVET REVOLVER begins a tour of Australia and New Zealand tomorrow (Thursday, Feb. 17).
